KCWU affiliated with CITU grieved over loss of lives | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 19 (KNO): Kashmir Constructional Workers Union (KCWU) Friday strongly condemned the killing of a non-local labour at Bijbehara and appealed to the administration to take adequate steps to protect the lives of poor migrant labourers in Kashmir. The KCWU has appealed to civil society to raise their voice against such heinous crimes. The union also expressed grief and sorrow over the death of two labourers including a non-local who died in Checkpora Ashmuji Kulgam while working in a trench this afternoon. KCWU urged the administration to take the necessary steps to hand over the body of the non-local worker to his family members and provide adequate compensation to the victim families and free treatment to the injured—(KNO)
